Which one will get bigger...

I'm trying to plan out the caging for my herp room. My babies are growing up and it's time to start getting bigger/permananet cages. But I have a problem. Based on space, etc I will be buying 3 cages that are 36x24x12 and one that is 48x24x12. But I can't decide who to put where. I've not really seen these species as adults in person and am not sure who would need the extra room.

Any thoughts?

They will all get to about the same size, on average but the kings will likely be a bit more heavy-bodied (word?). All would do fine in either size cage. And it's not like once you keep one in the 4x2 you can't change your mind later, right? Play it by ear....

Lots of individual variation - of those I expect the female cal king would top out at the heaviest and perhaps the longest, but it can take years for them to get to 5 feet. Our adult male mexican black was quite a bit shorter and much less heavy bodied than our largest cal king - and our cal kings are much more active and tend to use more floor space than either our corns or mexian black - although maybe we just see them more because they are out during the daytime.

In our experience - which is limited - male corns are larger than females, so I would bet your male snowcorn could be even longer than the cal king at maturity, but without the girth and weight. Like Tim says - what you set up now doesn't have to be permanent -

No it wouldn't have to be permanent, but I'd feel guilty putting one in the big cage and evicting them to a smaller one.

I figured it would be one of the kings that would be better suited for the larger cage (due to being longer and thicker).

My male Mex. Black king is around 60" give or take an inch or two.
