Arrow leioheterodon madagascariensis *PIC*

Just thought i would post a couple pics of my Hognose snakes. these are both females around 4'. need a male!

Very nice!! No doubt an interesting species, though I have absolutely no experience with them. Do they hood like that often? What else do you keep??

hey cam. the snakes are kinda nuts. they hood up when ever you disturb them. i keep those guys, mangrove snakes, vine snakes a parrot snake, radiated rat snakes, a bunch of other north american rat snakes, and a chondro. i finally cut down the collection from 85 animals i had just this summer. i am down to about 30 now.

A friend of mine has a pair of these. They are absolutely incredible snakes. His were WC... and I must say, they came in in fabulous condition, surprisingly without a single mite on them. They fed of F/T immediately and have acclimated superbly. His do the hooding thing as well.... incredible snakes!
You have to love Leioheterodon!

they are easy snakes. really easy. mites are more of an asian thing. you have to watch out for internal parasites and ticks with these ones.
