Well its been a while since ive posted because honestly everything has been going great for Slim and I. He's been eating on a weekly basis, i got him on F/T medium size rats, i know i know lucky me!!! He's been growing at a good rat and the only problem im having now is that he hasnt eaten in the past two and a half weeks. I just figured its cause of the cold weather and he's fasting like everyone says their snakes do. My question is, what can i do or look for in his behavior so i wont be wasting a rat a week on him?? any help would be appreciated>>>
Offer him food every 3 weeks instead.
My male stopped eating in oct. I still offer food every 2-3 weeks But I know he will not take any food untill april-may now Its just been his way for the past 4-5 years i have had him.
I have a baby male who is still eating like a champ though
Should i expect a lot of weight lose or will he eventually eat if i only offer it to him every 2-3 weeks. Tonight when i tried it was almost like he wanted to strike but he didnt. He kept on investigated the rat i was dangling in front of him but he just didnt wanna take it. If he wants to be stubburn then so be it. Itll be another two weeks till he see's another rat then as u have suggested.....

I have a few '04 hatchlings that have decided to go off feed also, if they're healthy and not underweight before going off, a winter fast won't hurt them at all. Frustrating as he!! though...
