Plants that can handle heat

I started planting my water dragons "aquarium" but am having difficulty finding non toxic plants that can handle the high temps in there. There is plenty of water, I spritz the plants (and the dragon) at least twice a day and water them every two to three days when I do a water change in "his" swimming pools. So far I've tried dracaena which is working well, african violets which look healthy but are no longer blooming, hibiscus (died fairly quickly), and what the store called a banana plant but my mom says is a corn plant (thick stalk, kinda palm tree looking) and it's dying slowly. I would love to have a whole bunch of plants in there and make it kinda like a forest. Anyone have any suggestions?

Snake plants are fabulous at handling heat. As for toxicity, as water dragons are known to munch on plants... I am not sure. Otherwise, they are extremely resilient, and look decent.

nasturtium's are great plants. i liek the looks of them and they can take some pretty warm temps. not sure if they could take the humidity but its worth a shot. seeds are cheap and so are the plants. i used to pick the flowers for the lizards at the pet store. my water dragon, a long time ago when it was alive, loved teh flowers. pretty colours too.

I tried that with my snake and I tried a succulent and it showed it didnt like it by drooping even though i watered it. In about 2 hours i took it out. Its more like a cactus but no spines.
