Sometimes retained shed can mean mites. I hope you Quarantine any new snake. As far as the yellow belly, I have not seen a dumerils with a yellow belly.

Quarantine is a good pratice. But lets not start throwing areound mites as a reason for a bad shed. the first 2 snakes I bought came with mites it took me a while to clear it up and they never had a bad shed. Its most likely that Its a humidity issue.

As far as the yellow belly goes pictures would be cool

Derrick, I mention mites for two reasons.
1- Miskie says she just got the boa a week ago. As you know 2 snakes you bought came with mites. So the boa was not in her care for very long. And there is a good possibility that it could have mites.
2- Sometimes a bad shed can be a sign of mites on a snake. Yes it could also be sign a low humidity. Or it can be a sign of ill health another reason she should quarantine the new boa.
