I was just wondering if any one has heard from Ray or has heard how he is doing? I am nervous that he is not well and I hope that he is healing well. If you read this Ray best wishes from the north Hip :thumbsup:

Thank you for your concern and kindness. I am quite fine. The finger is heading for a slow but full recovery. I have just been very busy with both the Hamburg, PA show and the South Caralina show last weekend. Thank you again, Be very Blessed

How did everything go at the South Carolina show?
How did your meeting with Brian go?

Did the discussion with the company owners and the stopping of the sales of the "voids" go as you had expected?

The show was very good. I heard some of the venders say they did not do so well, but we did VERY well.
Yes, Brian did stop by my table several times. He is a very nice young man, and quite educated with herps. I was very pleased to meet him in person, and very impressed with his knowledge. I did unload about 3 more venomoids at the show, and then became so embarrassed to have them that I hid them in the back. I spoke to my partner several days ago, and told him that we will no longer sell venomoids after these are gone. Oddly enough, he put up no arguement, and expressed that even he does not like venomoids, and that he took these on a trade as a one time situation, and never really intended to get involved with selling venomoids on a regular basis. So that's where we now stand. I am very satisfied with the arrangement now. I also noted on our website that we will no longer deal in venomoids.

I am glad that things went well for you at the show, it is a shame that three more "voids" were put out on the market.

I understand that as a business you and your partner need to make back the money currently invested in the "voids" that are in your inventory. It is a shame that some inexperienced person that probably should not own any reptiles in the first place is now displaying a modified animal. Everyone in the herp community is truly glad that you and your partner will no longer be marketing these damaged animals.

Just out of curiosity what kind of person were the "voids" sold to?
Did you have any discussion with these people about the practices of removing the venom glands from venemous snakes or about their intentions on keep a venemoid?

Very good point, as a matter of fact I was selective of who I sold to. The three were sold to a man who does reptile lectures for schools and medical institutions. Hee seemed very responcible, and knowledgeable, and he, himself, spoke of his opposition to butchering these animals. I was impressed. I will not sell them to newbies, or people that will be breeding them. Please let me know if there are others that you feel should not buy them as well. I am not in any hurry to recover investment moneies for the remaining ones, as they were done on a trade so I have no money really invested in them. Because they are doing good, and eating well, I don't care how long it takes to get rid of them. I, like you, would rather see them go to the right persons. Thanks for your help.
