Large rubbermaids?
Anyone know where I can find a large rubbermaid for a full sized BRB? Preferably something clear so some light gets in. I just gotmy new AP 3X2X1 enclosure. I put him in it and it was the perfect size but just would not hold the humidity necessary. I had to put him back in the 20 gallon long sized rubbermaid he has been in. I feel terrible but my male BP is pretty happy with his new enclosure. Anyway...Any help would be great. Thanks!
Jamie

You can also find some nice sterilites at Walmart or Target measuring around 34"x17"x6" for under $8

This is a good one that I have. Very good and strong lid. You can find them at Lowes I believe. I would definetly go with this one.

Not nearly enough floor space in that Rubbermaid for an adult Rainbow. Not even close. Look how it tapers down.
The model # you want is 5334. Just phone around and ask for it. Just about every store carries it.

I use underbed units that are quite large and would accomodate a small adult BRB. I think it's roughly 3'x20"x6". I think the company that makes them is called Creative Living, from the Storage Solutions collection. I get all mine at Crappy Tire, so I'm not sure where you would find them down there

Whats the difference if you have a snake in a rubbermaid, or a glass aquarium, or a custom enclosure?
So it must be mean that i keep all my smaller boas in rubbermaids too?

There's always going to be someone who doesn't feel that Rubbermaids are adequate for snakes.. However, I find it interesting that you say this cookie:

So, if it wasn't a nice snake, would it be okay?? And what exactly do you feel to be a not so nice snake that can live in said rubbermaid???
Im also curious as to what you house your snakes in.. Do you have any pics of your cages??

Snakes simply cannot tell the differance between glass and plastic. They cannot tell the differance between a nice rocky natural looking water dish or hide, and a plastic one.
That's just the way it is.

They obviously cannot tell the difference, however they sure seem to appreciate the security a translucent plastic cage can give over a completely transparent glass one. Many snakes feel insecure when put in a glass environment since it leaves them more 'open' to everything around them. It's well known that many snakes that are problem feeders have completely turned around once put in rubbermaids

That's a good point. Yet another towards rubbermaids. I prefer them HUGE over tanks, although I do keep a couple tanks set up for various species but thats because I am willing to put in the triple amount of work it takes to maintain them.
