Well I don't know of any specific care but "LittleDragon" might.
Since they are nocturnal they won't require UV lighting, but still require vitamin and calcium supplements
Have fun Buddy!

Yep and even being nocturnal, as all nocturnals, they DO require some dust with Vitamin D3. Most reptiles get D3 when calcium turns into D3 with the sun, I guess sort of like photosynthesis. Nocturnal animals get their Vit D3 from insects that have been in the sun and produced it. And as always, don't overdo it.

I'm not sure on a care sheet for lineatus I have phants. I use uvb for their live plants and the phants benefit from the extra exposure. They are tricky geckos to keep. I use leopard gecko icb for supplement, mineral and I dust their crikets once a week with crested gecko diet.

Actually, 'some' nocturnal geckos spend the day sleeping in tree canopies, on tree trunks etc., where they do get exposed to the sun during the day. Even though they're not up and running around like day geckos, they do get their UV-B daily. That's why uroplatus should have at least a bit of UV exposure.
I only know of one caresheet for lineatus, but it's in german.

Alot of the Uroplatus species have exposure to UV. The area's I found U. sikorae sikorae while in Madagascar where heavily tree'd but sunlight trickled in. They made no attemps to hide from the sunlight. At Mt. Amber U. sikorae was found in the wide open during the day near the guard station.
This would mean to me that they can use UV lights. Maybe the amount is species specific. Maybe some of the lower level lights would be the best.

It was incredable! I was there for 17 days last Oct.-Nov.. Not nearly enough time. The main purpose of the trip was to see Chameleons. I ended up seeing 27 species of chameleon, 40+ species of frogs, countless snakes, birds, and gecko's.
I am getting ready to plan the return trip in 2006. This one will be only specific locales for Chameleons.

Hi Mike,
That trip including airfares from the states ran about $4000. On my trip were 3 other people. If you do something as a group it keeps costs down. Petrol, truck costs, driver, and local guides fee's can be split between everyone. The more you camp will keep costs down also. Be warned though, it is really camping. No showers or toilets or drinkable running water.
Here is a link to an article with pics I wrote about the trip.

Thanks Carl! I would love to take a trip like this someday. And I'm from Thunder Bay Ontairo, and trust me, I know how to and what camping is. Getting down right stinking while enjoying the outdoors is something I love to do! Hhaha

And I just checked out your article, sounds like you had an awesome time. Those pictures of the chameleons are amazing. I don't have much interest for them but I still found those pictures interesting and maybe possibly I may own one in the future. Thanks for sharing Carl.
