Iculizard News
If this is posted on the incorrect forum, please let me know and I can move it.
Since October 30, Megan has been in the hospital in the intensive care unit. She experienced a severe asthma attack and was placed on life support and a drug induced coma. Her condition has greatly improved and I was fortunate enough to be able to take her home today. As you all can imagine it will be quite some time before she will be able to resume business as it was before. Our main concern right now is getting Megan healthy again. The dragons have been cared for and we are looking forward to breeding season again soon. I would like to ask everyone for their patience and understanding in our situation as it will take us time to respond to all of your requests and inquiries. She will not be checking e-mail for the next couple of weeks but will respond as soon as she is able. Thanks.
Chris

Wow, strange coincidence! My gf was in the ICU last week after an allergic reaction to Ancef during surgery prep; her lungs seized up from a massive asthma attack too.
They put her on a ventilator and sedation but she was able to breathe on her own by the end of the day.
It's a scary-as-hell thing to go through, and I can sympathize. Glad to hear she's on the road to recovery.
Hope the steroids they give her don't knock her on her butt too hard. Best wishes.

Wow Chris, that’s insane! Intensive care, induced coma! I’m glad to here that she is doing well now. I remember Megan wasn’t able to make it to one show because of her asthma and she was admitted to the hospital that day.
Well we will be down for the show this coming weekend and if there is anything we can do to help please let us know… we have some empty cages if you need some help.
All the best and get well soon Megan,
Tim

As a fellow asthmatic, my thoughts are with Megan.
Asthma is such an underestimated disease. I too was in the hospital earlier due my asthma and an URI.
Best of luck to you both in recovering and controlling Megan's asthma!
