It was sold to me as a Guyana, but I think it might be a Surinam...What do you think?
I acquired this snake in a trade. The guy said it was a guyana but who knows. I'm not saying it's not a guyana, it's saddles look like a surinams saddles to me though. I know that there is a way to tell them apart by counting the saddles. I don't know the numbers though, maybe you guys do. Anyways here's a couple pics, let me know what you think.
Thanks : )
*I don't know why they didn't work, anyways she's in my gallery under boa1 and boa2

Thanks, I don't know why it did't work. The URL appears to be right. Any thoughts on Guyana vs Surinam?

I am not sure, perhaps other members can be of more assistance. It is a really nice snake, though!
"Normally the Boa c. constrictor from Surinam have a pink shade on the flanks. Guyana redtails (Guyana and French Guyana) are darker and have a lateral purple shade.
But unfortunately this difference is just a clue, not evidence. We have already seen several wild caught redtails coming directly from Surinam that had purple flanks."

It does have pink down it's sides, you just can't see it in the pictures. It doesn'h have a brownish tinged back like guyanas I've seen.

If I was into surinames I would in a second. I do have a male here that doesn't have a female but I'm not really into big boas. I'm sure she wouldn't last long if you posted here. Man she is sime nice though. If I saw here in person I bet I couldn't pass her up she is awesome.
Cheers,
Trevor
