I have a cat by the name of Rosewood. She is tiny cat (looks like she's only half grown) and a beautiful black in color mottled with golden and brown.
Unfortunately for me, Rosewood is also very smart. And very snotty sometimes, too.
Lately she's been getting bladder problems due to anxiety (don't ask me how she does it) so I've been having to give her pills every morning and every night. Generally speaking, she refuses to eat anything that I don't eat; but if I eat it, she will too--she's even chewed on my cucumbers before. Because of this, I was able to cover up her pills with a treat and give it to her that way; at least, until I made the mistake of crushing up her pills onto the treat. Now she won't eat anything I give her because she thinks it's "poisoned."
So what do I get to do now?
Well, first I go downstairs and get my crowbar. Then I get to chase her around the house trying to catch her. As soon as I manage to pick her up, she starts swearing at me (and man, that cat has a really foul mouth, too!!!). Then, trying to restrain her with one hand, I pry her mouth open with the crowbar and attempt to shove the pills down her throat all the while trying to keep my fingers on as well. After I let her down, she bolts away for a short distance and then begins to walk around drooling all over the place trying to gag herself and spit up the pill (all the while shooting me extremely dirty looks) because she's mad at me.
About ten minutes later, after she's done slobbering all over my stuff, she completely forgets the whole ordeal and starts following me around the house yowling at me to pet her.
I love my kitty.
