Question Salmon's?

I saw some baby BCI's at a show last weekend. One breeder had a few that had a pinkish hue to them. Would they be considered "Salmon's"? They were very clean and healthy looking.

It was ~very~ tempting ---he was asking $125 a piece and $200 for a couple--that seems like a reasonable price, yes?

Do a search on here for Salmons.. They likely were just really clean 'pastel's (normals).. Im willing to bet they weren't Salmons..

Nope... Bci can have loads of pink sometimes, but it by no means makes them 'salmons' or hypos. Especially at that price. You won't typically be finding morphs going at below market price. They have to have an overall reduction in melanin (black pigment). There shouldn't be any black circles around the tail splotches except for the last 4 or less.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the information. I will do a search on the Salmons.

The fellow at the show had one of the best set-ups I've ever seen. His snakes looked very healthy and beautiful. I'm so psyched to pick up a male 'normal' BCI.

Thanks again!

In the states they run around $350 - $750 as babies I believe. Not sure what they go for up here... there isn't really a 'steady' market to go on for a lot of things... definitely starting to change though
