Hi. After looking at many pictures of ball pythons on the net (and especialy after seeing Jeff's beuties) I kinda think my ball is not very big for its age. He hatched in may and is about 18 inches long at the mo. In the pic he has just eaten a small rat. He was a problem feeder as a hatchling and had to be force fed but is now pounding rats no probs at all. Will he be stunted for life or will he catch up if he keeps eating well?? Not really worried either way but it would be nice to know!!!
Regards
Adam

My female BP is 6 months old and she's 32.5" inches. My male is about 10 months old and he's 36". I think a 5 month old BP should be well over 18" (IMO) But you should be thrilled it's taking rats! Rats should boost his growth quite a bit.
Ok cheers fo the re-assuarnce peeps. Ill just keep feeding him up the way I have been and see how he gets along. He has a massive appetite and strikes at rats like I have never seen before.
Cheers
Adam
