incubation?

Hey gang
Just trying to stirr the water a bit
I was just wondering if anyone has any opinion in regards to maternal vs artificial incubation or if a mother has any special requirements in order to sucessfully maternally incubate?

The problem with python eggs is that they are VERY fragile, and it is impossible to control the incubation temps using maternal incubation. You're lucky if you get 50% of the eggs that don't die due to heat fluctuations, and of the 50% that do hatch, 50% of those may be deformed. There is just no reason to do it if you want a high success rate.

what about seperating the eggs ?
do you just leave them the way the mother has liad them because they r so fragile?
eg basically transport the eggs as is directly into the incubator?

They aren't fragile. They are very tough and leathery actually.
