Hi everyone, I am on the search for some excellent books on Boas, I already have The Boa Constrictor manual and woul like to get up to par with the best of you.

I would like to learn more indepth stuff on the Boa as well as learn the anotomy and stuff like (hets, hybrid, hypo)...

I would like to know almost everything about Boas and snakes.

Thanks.

There are two exellent books by TFH called the LIVING BOAS and THE LIVING PYTHONS and both contain everything you need to know, they both complement each other perfectly as when you have one you want the other.

The best book i have read on reproduction in pythons and boas, is "The reproductive husbandry of pythons and boas"....
Cant remeber who its from as i cant find the book right now.
But ill post it if no one has when i get home.
Definately a key book if anyone plans on breeding boids.

I agree, The reproductive husbandry of pythons and boas (and for python, python of the world vol 1 australia) are my best books so far...

This one is not just about boas. But it is great for genetics.
Reptile and Amphibian Variants: Colors, Patterns, and Scales.
Other good books taht have not been listed are:
Boas & Pythons and Other Friendly Snakes.
Boas & Pythons Breeding and Care.
The Atlas of Snakes of the World or if you do not want to spend as much The Mini Atlas of Snakes of the World
Good Luck
