Question Preferred cage size.

I know that a 4Lx2Dx2H cage is the most common sized cage for boa constrictors. I would say they are most common bacause you can build them with one 8x4 sheet of wood. A local store is selling a 4x2x2 and a 3x3x2. They are both the same price, and both really nice.

Square foot wise, the 3x3x2 is bigger, not by much (1sq ft difference). I can't decide which one to get. Out of the two, which size would you guys buy and why. Thanks.

Dan. :w

I would go with the 4x2, they get even less length to stretch out in with a 3' cage, and it is also easier to maintain a gradient.

3X3 has 18 cubic feet of space....whereas the 4X2 has 16 cubic feet.... or...the 3x3 has 9 square feet of floor space...and the 4x2 has 8

I built a 4 X 2.5 X 2.5 for my BCI. If i were you i would buy the 4x2. My snake seems to like to stretch out across the tank.
