Not bad. Looks kind of cramped, lose the glass container-it's not easy to regulate humidity with an aquarium. He also looks like he needs to dig, so give him some dirt.

Good luck!

he will be getting moved into an ap soon, but still the tank hes in is 6'x2'x2', which is plenty big for a 3' monitor. as far as dirt goes..he has plenty to dig in, about 6" of the stuff

Well as long as he doesn't have a screen lid...but from what I see in the picture, that substrate isn't dirt. Perhaps you should use real, natural dirt?

reptiguy, STFU!! Mark knows his *****... Trust me. He knows much more than you do. There is nothing wrong with cypress, it works great for digging, and it holds up humidity. It also keeps the animal clean, unlike dirt...

Love them albigs

I have a soft spot for albigs too, awsome animals.
As for BMX comments, I use cypress with my tegu and dirt for my monitors. A dirty monitor is a happy monitor. Why else would they insist on crapping everytime I give them clean water. Haha

Well I never said dirt wasn't good, I just said I mainly use cypress. It really depends on the species, but cypress is great imo for pretty much all! Don't get me wrong, dirt holds up burrows great, but cypress is much easier to clean, much lighter, can be easily spread around and taken out, and doesn't leave a mess.
Oh and you know that's not an albig right?

My bad, I looked at the pattern, didn't look at the head.
Guess I'm getting lazy in my old age. Haha

Scott, don't feel so bad. I look at albigs daily and I looked over this thread and actually saw why you would mistake that dum for an albig :P The pattern is quite similiar.
