I went to the vet about my beardie Ruphus because he had runny smelly poop and the vet said he had a lung infection and said i should take him out in the sun every day for a maximum of 10 min. so i did that today and Ruphus hated it.Is that weird that my beardie didn't like the sun.he was crwling under me and was really pissed off.just wondering whats up?

1) it was pretty cold today here in Niagara, but I dont know where you are
2) Most of their predators in the wild are thought to be birds, so open spaces overhead might freak him out until he gets used to it.
I would also up the temps in your cage a bit while he is sick. add 5 degrees to his basking spot if you can.

If his poo is smelly, i would be worried it was a parasite and not a RI. Did you take a fecal sample in to be tested for parasites.

I wouldn't metion it, i would take a fresh (no older than 24 hours) fecal in to be tested for parasites.
Did the vet prescribe and meds. for the RI.

My male freaked out when he was outside. Started pulling out his beard and hissing, flatening out, and I found this stressed him a lot so I put him back in. Maybe not a good suggestion for a sick beardy.

thats what i was thinking too, i have yet to smell a reptile or anything for that matter with pleasant smelling poo i guess if smelly feces is a sign of sickness all of my lizards are in bad shape when I get them. That would suck.

Well... I don't know about all Beardies, but my Beardies poo isn't stinky. It doesn't smell like roses but snake poo smells much worse. LOL! With the combination of runny and smelly I would be thinking parasites or some type of infection. I don't think anyone has asked, but what are you feeding your Beardie? Could it be diet?

VI Reptiles Yes all crap stinks, but as syco said if it is runny and smelly then it "could" be a parasite, that's exactly why i suggested getting a fecal done. What's 15 bucks to get a fecal tested anyway.
What kind of veggies are you feeding BD15???
