Bar Fridge conversion

Hey, looking for some tips.

I was wondering about sauna thermostats. I'd like to be able to adjust the temperature from outside the fridge, without opening the door. Sauna thermostats already have a probe wired to be a distance away from the controls. That way i could put the probe inside, and the controls outside. Is there any other way to do this?

I posted a long time ago asking about thermostats. Jeff Favelle recommended an AUBE thermostat, but then changed his reply to the Helix. I was wondering if Jeff would be able to tell me which AUBE model he originally recommended.

Thanks

Geoff

I'm not sure I changed my mind from Aube to Helix. Aube thermostats are ROOM thermostats and don't have probes on them so they are useless for incubators. Helix or Big Apple are required for incubators. I use Aube digital programmable thermostats for 120V temperature control in a ROOM, but never in an incubator.

Aube has MANY models, just make sure its 120V capable and that it meets your wattage needs. They aren't expensive. Like $30-40. Piece of cake.

I use a Habistat dimming thermostat, so heat source gradually warms and cools rather than suddenly switching on/off, which can lead to temperature drops and spikes.

Aube makes a great 120V thermostat that can be set to 85F. The temprature probe is not mounted directly on the circuit board (to avoid being affected by the heat given off). The thermo resistor is very easy to remove and place on a pair of wires. The Aube has lots of features (night drop) and is very smart. It has a great feature that pulses the heat and is intelegent enough to 'learn' how many pulses is required to maintain the temp. For $35 it's a real bargain that not many herp thermostats at 4x the price can come close too. I am creating a construction article and will have a link ready soon.
