Murphy's Point Provincial Park

I was in Murphy's Point recently and I thought I would share my experience.

The weekend was more of a chance to get away and have a few drinks....but I eneded up herping most of the time.

My success wasn't what I wanted.....searched hard for Black Rat Snakes and couldn't find any. I was able to find 8 different skins in one small area at the edge of a river, but that is alll.

The garter's are ramped there, so if you visit watch where you step!

Found a bunch of N. Water Snakes, and one Juvenile Map Turtle. The turtle looked to be a year or maybe two in age. It's great to know that they are breeding there and surviving.
