What a weekend!

Our milksnake got out TWICE this weekend b/c our cats go nuts when he's out and about at night so they claw open the lid and he escapes. We noticed he was gone friday night and I was away this past weekend but my fiancee was home. I got a call around 2am sunday morning and Ron saw him crawling across the floor so we got him back. Then this morning as I'm getting ready for work, I went over to the tank and saw this huge hole in the lid, once again, he was gone. So I woke my fiancee up and he came out. We couldnt believe it happened again. We moved the couch and there he was, whew. Needless to say, we're moving the tank where the cats cant get to him. They just have this fascination with him. They could care less about the rats and chinchillas that they can bother as well. I was so mad at the cats but we couldnt do anything b/c by now, they have no clue what they did. I'm just thankful we got him back!

Cats and snakes never mix. I'm pretty sure cats just view them as animated shoestrings When cats are around though, never underestimate their power to open things. They can really be quite nimble!
