San Andres Boas

HI everyone,
just wondering if anyone has heard of these or has any information on them at all, is it a true locality or are they wild caughts from somewhere else? By the way, I have a pair that is why I am wondering.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
thanks,
Luke

I have a pair of what is was sold as San Andres boas. The guy at boa mania didn't know as much as he thought he did. I contacted both Ben S who sent them to Canada and Vin Russo a small boa breeder in the US. Ben tried to sell them to Vin who passed on them because he thought they were Hogs. When I contacted Ben all he would tell me about them is that they were never paid for in full.
After a few emails between Vin and I his conclusion is that they may be WC Hogs from one of the smaller suronding islands. One interesting thing about these snakes is their large eyes. The original hogs imported into the US had large eyes too but has since been bred out of them.
Hope this helps. If you want copies of my emails between Vin, Ben and I PM me with your email addy.
Cheers,
Trevor

Hey Trevor, check out the eyes on Little Guy in my avatar. I've had him for quite a few years and thought he was just a somewhat stunted common boa, but the more pics I see of central american boas kinda makes me wonder! The eyes, the size, his coloration, etc... I have more pics of him in my gallery I think. Let me know what you think!

Dave

You only have that one picture in there, Dave, but from what I can see, that is not a central american boa. It's a Colombian.
