Hi!
No it's not a false water cobra.
Looks like Pseudoxenodon sp., but what species?
Is ist P. bambusicola or P. macrops?
Nice specimen. Sorry to hear that it died.

Agreed, if their not poisonous, that would be an amazing snake to own. Unless they can only eat frogs?

Wow what an awesome snake!!!
Here is some info I just found on it. Hes right only frogs and lizards and its very very rare. too bad eh!
"Pseudoxenodon bambusicola, the bamboo snake, is quite beautiful. It lives among the higher elevations in northern Vietnam and China. This snake feeds on frogs and lizards and is extremely rare."
