Well, I agree with what was said in the general discussion ... I don't think you have anything to worry about now ... I would only become worried if it started displaying symptoms of illness ... puffy eyes ... labored breathing ... stopped eating, etc. One of the biggest things you will have to worry about with your RES will be upper respiratory infections and a main sign of that would be EXCESSIVE basking ... so .. at this point I don't think you have anything to be worried about.
By the way, about the bulbs ... UVB tubes should be over the basking area .. or near it ... and no more than 14 inches away from the surface to be effective ... I hope that answers your question.
