Petstore horror.
I went into a petstore today in London, and was looking through the snakes and other reptiles they had displayed for sale.
And I seen a poor little ball in one of the corners stretched out and, I don't know how to describe it. It's skin was flabby, like he was starved and lost MASSIVE amounts of weight. And to no amazment the poor lil guy was dead. So I told the lady, your snake is dead. She looked at it and said she seen nothing wrong with it. I said WHAT? It's dead. That's something wrong with it.
So she then blew on him, and said well, he must have just died.
It broke my heart to see how this snake was laying there.
Not to mention pisses me off.
Cheers
Shane

It really sucks that there's a policy against posting the names of places.
Since there's already been precedents set to establish that forums are not responsible for the posts of their users, I'm not sure what the problem is.
But since there has been an active policy against it in the past, it would probably grandfather back to that even if they did allow it and a company raised a fuss.

With regards to the Python, perhaps you should ask them why the ball is like that. Often stores order in farm raised ball pythons that are VERY difficult to get to eat. Some stores don't have people who have a passion for the animals and therefor dont really know how to fix these sort of problems. And other times there are other reasons. Ask them what the deal is and you'll get alot more info.

about the policy:
if you're posting facts only about the store, then how can the store raise a fuss?
I am not from Canada, but don't you have the same free speech/press rights as USA?
I realise that the best way to stay out of trouble is to avoid it, so this is purely an honest question...not a recommendation to can the policy of the board or to change it in any way or form
I was involved in a less friendly conversation of the same type that went no where in another thread similar to this and I feel that the best thing to do would be for residents of the city in question to PM the thread author, however this makes it all but impossible for visitors of a certain city to know any better (i.e. if I were to go to Winnipeg)
