Is there a difference?
The person who I believe to be getting my cp doesn’t have any jungle males, and I don’t want a female (preference) but she does have IJ's for the same price. Is their any major difference in temperament, size (get smaller only?), feeding habits, etc?, or just that they are different colors/sub species
thanks!

For all intents and purposes, there really aren't any major differences.
I'm sure people will try to tell you that one might be more arboreal or one might be nippier than the other, but it all boils down to the fact that they haven't owned enough of either subspecies to be able to properly make that distinction between the two.
Bottom line, they're all variable, but generally speaking, both are nearly the same size (Jungles are usually about a foot longer) and their temperament/care requirements are the same.

Neither is nippier than the other It all depends on the individual snake. But a baby carpet bite doesn't hurt, it's kinda sad to tell you the truth, Ive had worse flea bites. Goodluck with your purchase hope it all works out for ya.

It depends on who you ask and their individual experience with each subspecies.
In other words, as stated above, it just depends on the individual animal. I've had evil individuals and puppy dog tame individuals of both subspecies. Anyone who claims one subspecies to be more prone to biting than the other has probably not owned a lot of each.
Personally, I just think of them as the same basic snake, but with different paint jobs.

sorry ken when it comes to chats/forums i usually dont care about spelling.
Thanks anthony. So if I handled it lets say 2 times a week or whatever to get it to get used to me, it would calm down as much as any other subspecies of carpets? Or at least the same as a jungle?

It really all depends on the animal I have two JCP's from Jeff F and one is very nippy with the other is fine. I mean you will even find nippy burms and B.c.i's and they are known for thier gentle disposition.
