South NY, PA and surrounding area herpers?

Hey,

I'm thinking about making a trip to Pennsylvania sometime in the next few weeks my plan so far is to go to Penn Roosevelt . I was wondering if there are any herpers from that area on this forum or who have been herping there. If anyone would like to meet up that would be great. I've been once before and found a timber, ringneck, ribbon snake and a variety of salamanders.

I have a few questions:

Anyone know an easy spot to get short-headed garter snake, know of any recent reports or have seen a Kirtlands Snake,
I know some areas that could be good for copperhead but info would help, also could use help finding a mtn earth snake which I hope to be near the surface due to all the rain this year.
Also any info about ravine, spring, seal and green salamanders would be good. Same with turtle info
Anyone been to Buck's county and had sucess with frogs there?
Also if anyone in surrounding states know good areas and want to meet up I could do the extra driving.
Maryland looks tempting but I imagine most the good habitat has been destoryed by now.

Any info would help my email is ont_herper@yahoo.ca

thanks, Dan

Hey im from new jersey but i know a few good spots in Pennsylvania if ya could get directions for it... one spot is the Pinnacle/Hamburg reservoir, its found in hamburg and is crawling with copperheads. other common snakes there are hognose, black racers, black rats, milks, waters, garters, ringnecks and once on awhile if your lucky a timber rattlesnake. Another good spot is Jim Thorpe Park, located in jim thorpe its a long bike trail along a wall with snakes hiding inside them . Most common snakes there are black rat snakes and timber rattlesnakes, but you can also find others on the list i listed above.
