Slim blew up

Im amazed at how big my snake just got after eating what i thought was a far too big mouse for him. I bought a pretty decent size mouse and just dropped it in his rubbermaid. He attacked it right away and i thought there was no way he'd be able to eat it. Sure enough about a half hour later it was gone. Im just amazed at how much thicker throughout his entire body he is now since he ate it. He went from bein my little Slim to a fatty...........

Yep, that's what happens when they eat, it's amazing. Oh, and by the way, I don't think there is such a thing as a mouse "too big" for a ball python. Ball pythons can take adult mice right out of the egg as a first meal.

Glad he's eating for you.

True. Just saying he could most likely take it down with no problems (unless he was a runt or something).

Its surprising what they can take down. i fed my female a rat that was roughly 1.75-2 times her width, took a while but she got it down. she was the hatchling I got from Cranwill.

Completely off the BP topic, RMBolton's posted some amazing pics of a N. sipidon chokin' down a leopard frog in the field herping forum. http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showt...hreadid=51261, really worth a look.
