Yeah, I know a guy that does mealworms in them too, so that's about it... Yeah short Leos maybe in the deeper type LOL, but NO snakes.
I think we all have similar tendancies to stake out the housewares section in every big department store we visit.. I instinctually make a b-line for those areas a few times a week when I'm out for my mall walk at lunch time.
Some weeks there is something new of interest, like the new black rubbermaids...fantastic for hides and nest boxes.
I always check new containers including all the "works in a drawer" types, but have yet to see one suitable for snakes. the brand "Gracious living" makes some nice ones, even in funky colors with handles on the drawers. From across the store they look great, but under close inspection they are flimsy, the drawers stick and there is huge gaps. Huge with snakes is anything over 1/16 inch
It's possible there might be some US designs that us Canadians don't have access too, but none I have seen up here would hold a corn snake past the first night.
