What is the differece between...

...a tarantula and a spider???

I am not the best in the invertabrates .. but I am pretty sure, that a taratula is a spider.. spiders are arachnids wich are categorized as an 8 legged friend .. nice and hairy .. death (sp) to sound , 8 eyes and two bady parts..

I think spiders are just a general term to include all different famillys .. and a tarantulla is a specific familly of spiders ..


I am no expert in arachnids so this is simply my guess, If any one knows better let me know!
