PTS trio escapes.

Well everyone, I have had my first break out, my male PTS apparently learned how too open the door on the cage. I came into my room too see the cage opened and him happily perched on a box in the middle of his new domain whit what I could swear was a smirk on his face. . The other 2 had also ventured out into their newly acquired territory and found nice hiding spots. At first I had thought the door just opened because it wasn’t shut properly but as I’m sitting here the male has opened it 4 more times. He has fund the exact spot too apply pressure too have it pop open. Guess ill need too fix that soon enough. They are all back in there enclosure now and the male is determined too get out again unfortunately I have place something in front of the door too stop it from opening again tonight. Just thought I would share.

WOW WHO would think that they would have that capability. The act of remembering and performing a certain action for reward is some thing i have never heard of in the herp world COOL

Well, he defiantly knows where too push, and he now has a female pushing on the same spot with him. But it would take an army of them too move that chair lol. I take it they really enjoyed there time loose in the room.

haha my monitor tends to always know the spot to push to get his cage open as well. Tis' why I had to invest in cage clamps I had to use 20 lbs in weights to keep it from budging before i got those.

Good thing you found them. snakehunter, I don't think it's as wierd as people think. If a snake gets out once, they know how they did it and will keep doing it until you fix the problem.

Well i guess at least he likes to smile at you when you come into the room and does not take off and hide. Its a good thing he is not into traveling i guess.

Ha they have definably become quite the escape artists 3 more escapes since I originally posted, I believe they enjoy the freedom of a 16x12 room more then the cage ha ha ha. The male is always easy too spot, climbs too the highest point closest too the center of the room and sits there the females on the other hand hide anywhere. I'll have too picked up a good lock. Until then cinder blocks seem too be doing the trick.

Smart little suckers, aren't they? I guess they've got all day to sit and think about how to make their escape. So much for the 'dumb animals' idea.
