Slim did it all by himself

He ate two decent size fuzzies today, the first one i had to help him with but the second one was the greatest moment ive experienced with him yet. This was the first time he actually grabbed the rat and curled up around it. THe other three times i fed him he just stayed straight, but this time he did what he should normally do. Hopefully this is a sign that he'll begin to eat on his own. It only took 3 assist feeds to get to this point......

What sized rubbermaid did you have him in? He could have been stressed. What are you offering for a heating source?

Otherwise, I a glad to hear he is eating on his own. That is great news.

we've been in on this from the beginning....... we all overloaded him with advice but i seem to remember his set up being fine now...

glad to hear he's eating on his own! i don't know if you saw, but i mentioned that 3 of my bp's needed to be assist fed a few times, but now are my most agressive feeders!

CONGRATS!!!!!

I have him in the 14L rubbermaid. Previously i had him in a 20 gal tank and many people on here said that was way too big for him. As for heating sources I have a underneath heat pad. Floor temps are usually around 91 on the hot and 78 on the cool with a air temp of around 80 and humidity right at 60. Like i said this was the first time he actually grabbed the rat and curled around it. Just have to wait till next week to see if he'll do it again.

I had problems with my first bp back in high school. She wouldn't eat unless assisted.
