Newly hatched whipsnake

The Scott's whipsnake isn't often seen in collections. I am lucky to have a few cb that have just shed for the first time. Perhaps I'll post more pics as they grow a bit. There's a lot of color not seen here.

Absolutely gorgeous! I'd love to have some of those.

Mark, is that "Schott's Whipsnake",
M. t. schotti
,?

Brian, so far they're much as you'd expect-- quick to strike and very fast. They calm down after a while though.

I was trying to forget that "minor" detail, thank you. Watch out, before I send out my trusty K.A.T.T. to come seek em out, bite their heads off and slurp them like a candy.

Did you produce them yourself, Mark?

What are they feeding on?

Cheers!

Simon, no actually **** Bartlett brought them to me. He has the adults. It is best to start them on anoles. Although they may take pinks at first, he advised that they will do much better if started on lizards. As if to "gut load" them with beneficial flora in their digestive tract. Makes sense to me.
