The wait is over!
Well, the new guy finally arrived and I love it! I just took a couple quick photos and they do ABSOLUTELY NO JUSTICE to this animal! I wanted to try for better pics but decided that I should let him acclimate.
Note: This is only a temporary enclosure until the new one arrives!
I am so excited,
Brent Strande

Just amazing indeed.
Lots of color on the gtp, huge cage and loads of fun things to cruise inside with.

I put the smaller shoebox rubbermaid inside to resemble his previous home in order to acclimate him more easily. The breeder told me that he does it that way and they slowly venture out into the rest of the cage... seems like a pretty solid idea.
A funny thing that he mentioned however is that he had one breeder male who would always perch down in the lower rubbermaid, keeping his juvie home, what a homebody! LOL
The color on him is MUCH more intense though, and I cant wait to try some outdoor photos, but I don't think that I will be as daring as I was with the JCPs and let him touch a tree. Just bring him out on a perch instead!
His new cage will be a Boaphile ( www.boaphileplastics.com ) arboreal 333A, measuring 36x18x17.5. Its gonna be equipped with a new thermostat, radiant heat panel, vented side, and three perches! This will be my first BALLS OUT display cage and I can't wait!
Later,
Brent Strande

These snakes are much smalller than I had always pictured them, although this is a male...
Here is a pic for size reference (the snake is 2.5yo)
Heres another shot showing all of the yellow and blue in his tail! I am still just amazed, I cant wait to see what kinda babies he pops out!
Thanks for looking,
Brent Strande
PS, If anyone in the US has a great deal on a female Jayapura contact me and we'll work something out! It's be a shame if he was never able to pass this blue on.

Apparently so... I see the new additions! They look great Jeff! I am already looking for the female to pair my guy up with! I had one picked out I thought, but the price was outdated and is now over 4x as much as listed!!! Oh well, I'll find one out there!
