just thought id share (Co2 [Dry Ice] Gas chamber)
after doing a bit of research on killing mice b4 feeding, i didnt aggree with the wacking method too much, if i had to do it i would but i wanted to find another way if possible, I learned that Co2 is the best way to put down mice or rats. ANYWAYS I remember there being some discussion a while back about how to go about making a gas chamber, and "i think" i came up (im sure im not the first) with a way which uses dry ice that works pretty well for me, so here ya go...
really hope this helps some people, feedback welcome.

Another Version
I do pretty much the same, however lately I have been stunning and then cervical dislocation as it seems to be even quicker and just as humane...
Heres a quick shot of my gas chamber (don't need the hose or anyting then, the extra gas leaks through the lid as rubbermaid and sterilite containers are not airtight...

You guys should check out some paintball co2 tanks, they are relatively cheap and would do a good job as a gas chamber . If you got a local paintball store give it a try, they work great. If you do decide to buy one, get one with an on/off valve. They are refillable, 20 ouncers cost about 3-5 dollars to refill and they last quite a while. :P
here is a link to one http://www.paintball-discounters.com...l?p_prodid=145
Thanks,
Dan Bowen.

THIS EXPLAINS WHY THE PETSTORE SELLS DRY ICE! I couldnt figure it out, and also sell f/t mice in store, so it didnt even occur to me that was what they used to do it. I couldnt think for the life of me why they carried dry ice. Thanks Phrasty! Cool pics too. Fortunately I buy them already done from there as little snake frozen dinners, and I just buy the dry ice to put water on it watch the steam. My daughter thinks its fun!
Another mystery solved, and cool system!

Nice set up, though I have a CO2 tank myself as I kill LOTS of rodents and rabbits. You can also use vinegar and baking soda to create a CO2 gas. There was a link posted here not too long ago with pictures and everything.
Happy killing! (oh THAT sounds bad...)
Take care
