I live out of the capital city of Manitoba, In Winnipeg Boa constrictors are illegal.But would it be illegal to bring a my boa constrictor to the city to show some friends at a Petland?

Yes... and why would you want to? It's a lot of stress for the snake just so YOU can show it off. It could also lead to a variety of bad situations.

Keep your snakes at home and have the friends come by to see them there...

If I ever took my snakes anywhere...a pet store would be the very last place I would take them. I suggest you keep them at home.

Exactly. Pet stores are full of all sorts of harmful pathogens. You wouldn't want to risk your snake becoming infested with mites, or infected with some sickness, would you?

Also, I'm not sure, but it may be a possibility the store could get in trouble as well as yourself, if anyone alerted the authorties.
