New ONT Snake for ME

Went out tonight to our milksnake spot and when I flipped the first board I came across I saw a small Garter Snake and then as it began moving away I noticed a small black snake just out of arms reach. I called for my father and as he ran over the Garter Snake took off scaring my first Ontario Ringneck into the long grass. My father managed to get a glimpse before it disappeared, I was excited but also quite disappointed not having been able to photograph it. We continued our walk and found 7 Garter Snakes. We decided to check some of the boards out again just incase the Ringneck came back or there was another. Well sure enough there under a damp board was our second Ringneck in 30 minutes, its about 10 inches long. We managed to catch and photograph this one!!! It was also caught near my house so it can be on my Hamilton list as well. It's the only record I know of in the Hamilton area since 1992.
