Uroplatus batasticus

I catch this male phantasticus sleeping in this position quite often. It's almost like he has some bat bred into him somewhere along the line!

Nice pic..they look so delicate but when they're on your finger they have the strongest grip. does yours ever stretch its legs out to look like twigs?

Thanks everyone!
They are definitely one of the more amazing species of gecko that I keep. I love the mimicry, but they are also quite fascinating to watch when they interact with each other. I fell in love with these guys years ago when I saw one of the males I had waving his tail at the female he was with. It was a very amazing thing to witness, and apparently quite enjoyable to her as well.

That's a great shot.
I just remembered that I have a pic of the "twig leg" posture, the angle is terrible but you get the idea. She's quite young in the pic and I forgot she used to do this as a defence mechanism when I picked her up.
While we are on the subject of neat phantasticus behavior, has anyone seen theirs wave their tails over their heads while hunting? That has to be one of my favorites.

My new female did that last night At first I thought she was waving it at me but she was eating while doing it so it couldn't have been a defense. Maybe they do it to look like a leave blowing in the wind while they are travelling?
