That looks great but I would recommend that you remove the light bulb from inside the enclosure, one of your cresties may get burnt if they touch it.

It looks like it's really close to the artifical plant, but it's a good 10cm from it and that is the closest thing to it. If we were to remove the bulbs, what are your suggestion to heat it? Our house is only in the high 60's. Thanks btw.

My concern is that your cresties may climb the glass and go upside on the top of your enclosure and get burnt if they climb on it. Maybe you can build a protective cover for the bulb and see how warm it gets afterwards or you can place the heat bulb outside the enclosure. Is the bulb hot to touch when it is on for a while? Good luck, im sure more people will have better suggustions than me.

dude thats sweet! i wouldnt remove the light i would just get some rabbit wire and some tinsnips and make something to cover it that wont start a fire or harm your geckos while still giving the light bad *** enclosure!

It's warm to the touch bordering on hot. We also have a computer fan on the top that helps cool the bulb down. If we made a wire guard, wouldn't that get hot as well? We thought about doing that early on, but we thought that the wire would also get hot and that would then defeat the purpose.

Like I said earlier our house is only in the high 60's, so some heat is needed. It provides a nice gradient. Right under the bulb it is 80 with 77 in the middle and 75 at the bottom.

Just buy some screen(metal) and put a guard around it(maybe 5-10cm from the bulb all around). It will not heat up as much as the bulb ofcourse. Looks great too!
