The first clutch of bairdi eggs have hatched and to my great surprise two of them were amelanistic! I expected nothing but normals. They weighted 12 grams and are around 30 cm. There were only five eggs in this clutch, which was produced by a rather small female.
Wonderful suprise!! Hope you are going to keep the albinos and we will get to see photos as they grow up - very interesting species and I was not aware that the albino gene had been worked with in Baird's at all,
