And I thought she just wasn't hungry

Well, I figured I would try and feed my #2 female cali today, as she has been off food for a few weeks. When I looked in the tub, my first thought was man did she crap alot. But then I opened my eyes a little wider and there they were.......... 12 eggs spread all over the place, 3 slugs, but everything else looks good. Guess I'll have my coffee now

Cheers

Jim

Nice to get a bonus like that Jim!

A wise old herper once told me about breeding snakes "Always expect the unexpected"

Brian, is that your pueblan giving you a third clutch on her own terms?

Ok, here's a pic of the eggs that just dropped, the two in the top right corner are from my #3 female, all look good, might lose the one in the top left corner though.

HOWEVER, another surprise for the day!!!!!!, The same girl's first clutch are starting to hatch. 59 days at 82.1 degrees...yeahaaaaa!!! Gonna be busy tonight!! I only shot the one pic and now I will leave them alone

Cheers
Jim

Right on Jim. Keep the pics coming. I'll be up to see those in a couple weeks.

Marc: Yes. I was hopeing that i would not have to give her a nest box again. She's been in her water dish for a week and refusing food. She's only done this twice before and it was for the first two clutches this season. She is back up to her optimal weight and she is starting to swell again. I haven't reintroduced the male in months. My jumpins, i hope she don't quadruple!

Jim, congrats on the little black and white wigglers!

Brian, as much as you would of wanted your female pueblan to stop at two clutches, they always have their own agenda! Not unheard that a single female would produce up to 36 hatchlings in one season.
