Your in a whole new world now. What ever you thought you knew about pythons, forget about it. Check out this link, it's one of many great sites http://www.finegtps.com/Care_sheets.html

Adam is right- and thats an awesome link he sent you. These are not land dwellers, for one, so your enclosure is going to be a lot different from that of another type of python, among other things. Do you homework and set it up your enclosure right before he gets home.

They are also more ornamental snakes, not meant to be handled as much, if at all.

Congrats. I love these snakes and Im super jealous =)

Congrats on the new purchase!

Are you saying you havent checked any care info on this thing yet?

As for your question about keeping them together:

You ALWAYS quarentine new animals, and never put them in the same cage as an existing animal. Also, keeping snakes together is considered a No-No. If you do a ssnakess.com search on "Keeping Snakes Together"(search button at top right corner of the screen), you will come up with all you need to show you its a no-no.

Good luck!

ADAM2373:

Congrats on the new GTP.

But not impressed your getting one without knowing knowledge on this species. Like the others stated do you homework before stressing out this new python. If they will hold it for you that is better until you have done alot of research.

Just my opinion, based on the best care for the animal is my only concern.

Cya...
