complete cam cage

Here is my chams new home...he is BRIGHT green now so i figure he is not stressed and loves his new home...im going to take the advice and cut the pieces of left over screen so it doesnt cut me or the cham, but other then that i love it...i also have to get my uv light tomorrow from a friend..those things are expensive!

cage

and heres a great pic of him in the enclosure

And heres the dripper design i made. Instead of spraying and rotting the wood faster, i set up this drop system..a cd container with 3 pin holes, and it drips at a great pace..i fill it up 2 times a day for the water and humidity. I havnt seen my cham drink...is this hard to catch and what does it look like?

its located at the top of the enclosures screen....

this is the rubber bottom im using to make it completely water proof..i still want to trim it and make it a ltitle more straight but yea its pretty good!

this is the canopy he has to basking and hide

As you can see i moved the leaves a little bit away from the light because it was to close and burning the leaves..thats alright how it is right?

Your cage looks uber awsome Bart, just some thoughts, your gonna need some branches in there for him to climb on, and i have wood cages as well some for about 4 years now no rotting either, u might want to mist him i know they dont drink like other chams but some need a good long misting to be inticed to drink. But that is a great cage awsome job.

Thanks, will do on the spraying..and about the branch, i was going to buy one of those metal vine things they sell at pet stores and loop it around the cage attached to the screen or something.

Dude your cage looks nice, I remember in our talks you did mention that tyou were going to use a drip system aswell as misting him as well.

Good job dude.

As for the branches, yea some branches at diff levels going accross teh cage though the plant will be good for him

What do they use those for? Just more stability?

Should they be easy for him to grab with his hands, beacuse i know theirs to different sizes and the store.

Yea man Collide has the right idea. Dont buy teh branches just get them outside and clean them. If you are around any grape growers just go get grape vine the farmers are always more then willing to give is away as they usually just burn it.

i perfer what they sell at pet stores but come on look at the price, to much for me so i use sticks out side. If i had a chance to make a cage for a cham, and only use what the pet store has, it would look awesome but in the end it will probly cost 2000.00 bucks lol.

I am good friends with a pet store manager and she told me right out all the grapevine is jus taken fromt he wild and sent to petstores whot hen sell it there. I bought a peice for $12 that I could have gotten easily from a friends back yard. The peice i bought had spiders webs and all sorts or stuff on it. Naturally I removed the bark and sterilized and washed it many times before using. I must have had the word sucker writin on my forehead :P.

Around 150..the wood was expensive because they were precut and supposedly just good wood. Also that specific wood is supposed to somewhat prevent rot from the water but thats prob bs. Im very happy with it though

Thanks for the compliment
