Which Species Have You Seen In Canada?
I'm wondering what the variety is in Canada these days. The only chameleons I've ever seen for sale are veileds and panthers, and I saw one adult male deremensis in Alberta. Other than that I've been to one enthusiasts house where he had everything from quadricornus to Brookesia perarmata, he also had a leucistic veiled which was the most beautiful chameleon I've still ever seen.

In addition to the others mentioned, I have seen three-horned and two-horned chameleons(?(as labelled in pet shop)) and carpet chameleons.

Are you sure Tarentola? Parsons are extremely rare, large and expensive. Even in the states they are very hard to find. The price should tell you. If it was around $2000+ then it's a Parsons. If not, maybe you confused the named parson for pardalis?
All I have seen/heard so far are various rhampholeons, various panther morphs, veileds and flap-necks. I have known/know people with werners, mellers, jacksons and fischers. I am hoping to bring more variety in terms of captive bred chams to Canada one day.

Terentolla are you from winnipeg? Yes I have been a regular to all wpg's shops I can i can tell you that pretty much all of them have no idea waht they are talking about. When there chams are shipped they never are given the proper names. They exchange hands at least three times before they get here and the shippers have no idea what they are so they call them things like a giant chameleon ( Mellers) or triceritops ( Jacksons).
The one shop in the city that knows kinda what they are doing would have to be ***** on Pembina. PHil there is pretty good, still has a lot to learn like not selling jacksons monumentous to any fool that comes in with the money. Man was I ***** at him. He thought I took them so he didnt even know who they went to. Being so rare and fragile Im almost certain the people have killed them by now. He said "well they bought like $100 worth of stuff for them" Ya so what that will get you same plants and a few bulbs.
But I am seriously thinking of phoning wpg humane society on pretty much all the shops in wpg as they dont give a rats ***** about the condition of theyre reptiles. I dont know how many places I see where theyre aniamls are living in theyre own crap. Its really sad.
So ya thats winnipeg and its reptiles for you if you want to know something just give me a hollar and i should be able to help you if not I know lots of really experienced people out there who are always ready to help
well thats all folks
peace
