Colombians in the sun
I love looking at this girl in natural light, but taking pictures of her is quite the challenge! She is a speed demon on a mission once she hits the ground and is a far cry from being docile. The hand-over-head trick never works on her and only sends her in to a fury. I managed to get a few ok pics of her though. She's about 6' now and will be turning two years old in August. It's insane how fast these snakes grow. She's fed one rat every two weeks or so.

This miniature little guy should hopefully be ready around the same time she is. They should hopefully produce some really clean, bright babies :sun:

Both very nice boas, they are gonna make some really exceptional babies some day. I like the females hypo looking saddles, and the males pink sided.
I bet that if I grew up outside of Saskatchewan, I'd have a collection of a bunch of really stunning common boas - and just breed really pretty common boas.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!
Matt,
LOL you realize I took those pics with sole intent of torturing you with them, don't you? I can't believe you let her go either, but I'm not complaining! At least you get pick of the babies... I'm hoping they are even prettier than their parents
Ryan,
It never shows up well outside for some reason, but my female has super pink sides. Really pretty. The male is just starting to show some colour, it will be interesting how much he develops, as he's still quite young.
Jeff,
For now I won't be adding any more (or be able to hold back any ) big boas, as well as nothing appeals to me more than a super nice normal So I'll just be working on that for the next few years at least

Jezabel,
She's doing good. She took a medium rat yesterday. First meal since January :flick: I suspect she just ovulated, as after the last big belly pic I took she shrunk and had a shed around 2 weeks after. I didn't know the buildup to ovulation could be so long though, for months she didn't feed but continued to grow I guess I just have to wait a few more months to see what's going on :/

Very nice female Linds I'm sure she's gonna produce some killer babies when you breed her.
For you BCC I really hope you get some stiped babies I cant wait to get mine . Dont worry about feeding habits i have females that stop eating right after ovulation and i have other females that will eat until 2 weeks before giving birth those girls usualy dont strike at the prey they take it slowly on the bottom of the cage after i leave the room... it really depends on the female.
