This is really bothering me
Every time i come across a new snake or variation. I always go looking for some good pics. However i have to go to mulitple sites that give me very little and low quality pics. The gallery on here is good but only for common snakes. Not to good for variations. They're all kind of grouped together.
I was wondering if there is any sites with just a massive amount of pics(if possible good pics) I would like to be able to get a good view of different specific things.
Also like price lists and overall useful information.
Thanks

That sounded rude after typing it and then seeing the post, sorry! I don't mean to be rude, but that sounds pretty generic and quite a long shot to me. ONE site for all of the UNCOMMON snakes out there. If you find it I would be very interested, but you may have to find a few specific sites dedicated to a certain species if you are hoping to find specific info and detailed pictures!
Anyways, again, Good Luck!

Yeah i know but it's just something i have dreamed up after spending too much time looking for something that should be easy to find. I'm not sure why it hasn't been made yet. I'm sure it would be a popular site. Mainly just to be used as a dictionary sort of thing. It wouldn't have to be elaborate.

The pics on here are only as good as the members. What I mean by that is the site does not pic and chose the pics, they are up loaded by the members. As a result you are only going to see what the members up load and 99% of the pics in there are made up of people personal animals.
Cheers,
Trevor

Basically what he is saying forever is, The pics in the galleries are from members collections.... if your looking for strange or unusual, try a search on google. (chances are)The only animals you will see on this site are ones that people posted from the own collections.

I know what he's saying but i don't know what that is supposed to mean to me. It just seems out of place or or just him trying to defend the site which was not needed. Oh well.

Where have you looked already? Try looking on google. You should be able to find something with their search engine. Happy searching.

A gallery in each forum would be a handy thing I think. It could be made up of pictures donated by members then organized and posted by one of the mods. Make one of those cool sticky threads out of it that stay at the top of the page, maybe lock it too so it's all pics and no responses.
If all the forums had these and the galleries got big enough, I think it could become a new draw for the site. How often do you see threads posted by people just trawling for pics?

it is usefull to you because you complained of this site only being usefull for common snakes. Personally I don't see tons of people buying bloods or monocla's. So you saying the pics are only of "common snakes" is like your looking down on keeping regular old corns, balls, and boas and the people that keep them.
I would love nothing more than to find some awesome pics of leaf nosed snakes (not sure if thats the right common name for it! lol it's rear fanged.)

The best way to do that is make a list for yourself with common name and or latin name try using morph names like snow boa or paradox boa (or whatever you are looking for in different snake species) I think trev was trying to explain that the majority of pics hare are from regular hobbyists and the high end freeky stuff is not well represented (except for a very few here on this site)Trust me the more you surf the more you will find the more you find the more you will see patience is the key.
