Resizing...

Ok, I know you guys are probably getting pretty tired of people having problems with posting their photos, but the fact of the matter is, I want to show mine off and I can't!

I have a digicam (Sony) that accepts floppy diskettes directly, so all I have to do is remove the disk from the camara and insert into the computer (I thought this would be easy). However, at 640 x 480 (I think) the photo is too large.

I don't have any special programs (except maybe 'Paint' but it didn't work) that can resize the photos for me. I know several of you would reccomend that I just include a link from my gallery here, but I don't have room in my gallery for more photos. Any ideas, guys? I can't download anything on my computer because it's at work, but I would like to be able to post them for all to see! Anyways, thanks for your help in advance!

640 X 480 should be a good size. It's when pictures get over 800 pixels that they start to become a problem. Of course it depends on the viewer's monitor resolution setting.

If you are talking about the size of the file, you will need some sort of software to compress the file.

Another option is to get more hosting space. Either purchase more from SsnakesS.com or find another place to host your photos. I use photobucket.com to host some of my photos.

here is a link to a free download that I tried...It doesn't ahve all the features of course but it does the trick for changing the size and does a nice job of croping too. For a free program it works very well!

Also, this way you don't have to change the resolution or quality of your pictures. Just change the size or crop it.
