Now those guys give me the eeby jeebies! Ever since it chased me around and bit me a fwe times - moved on to a friend who was there as well - I just have liked to keep a good distance

measures about 4 1/2 inches I guess 11 1/2 centimeters. a good inch across the abdomen.

Nice pic... not too special, but still nice detail, and good pose! I just got my chinese mantids to mate last night...
What species? I don't have many species (well, ok, only tenodera sinesis...), but I'm trying to get some more... Any for sale? lol

It is probably a Iris oratoria but could be Stagmomantis limbata not sure on that account. Phil can you tell from this pic?
