Breeding House Geckos

Hey all!

Well, after relentlessly looking on google, i found nothing about house geckos. I would just like to know a little about breeding them: Being:

How often do females have cluthes?
How many eggs per clutch?(probably two?)
1+ females to a male is ok?

I have had house geckos breed for me (used for food) and they are the same as most geckos as in they will lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. They will have a clutch every 30-45 days and I would say you are safe to go 1 male to about 6 females.

Keep inmind that these are really small geckos that will have really small eggs and inturn small babies. The eggs are very easy to crush when tring to move them and there is nothing like alittle 1inch gecko running out of the incubator and accross the wall.

Depending On the species, the size may differ quite a bit correct? There are also differences between the "Common House Gecko" and the "House Gecko", which itself, has many different subspecies. So im not sure which would be the most common to find? I have seen small green "house geckos" in pet stores, about 3 inches long, for 9.99 each, and some larger 5 inch ones, for about 4.99. And The common house gecko I know of is beige-ish -- orangish with speckles. So I would just like some clarification on the different species. Thanks

The ones I had were just the comman house geckos available in any pet shop for about $7.00 CND. They are the brown/orangish ones about 4-6 inches snout to tip of tail.

I started by just buying alot of them to use as feeders then they started breeding. most of the time if I could I would just leave the eggs in teh cage to incubate as I use to just spot clean there cage. If I needed to move them I would use a spoon and move all of the mulch around the tiny eggs. I tell ya this, it only took me opening the container once and have the little guy run out on me before I started using clear containers for the eggs lol.

what did u feed them to? that intrestes me because this is honestly the first time ive heard of using geckos as a feeder
