I bought a helmeted gecko today. It looks like it may be a female I can't see any buldges. It's roughly 10 months old. It's not really bulky but I'm sure I can fatten her up in month gutloaded crickets and miner all. I have it in a 5 gallon with paper towel as a substrate. There's lots of rocks, crevices for it hide under, and a small humid hide. there's a heat pad on one side of the tank and a reptisun uv light over top. I've only found a couple sites so far with good information. I was wondering if anyone has good info through sites or observation? Any tips?

IMO sand, sand, sand They love to dig, and in turn would reduce stress if they can create their own tunnels etc. Remove the paper towels and throw in 10lbs of repti sand or vita sand ... lots of slate rock etc. have a couple pre made tunnels and let them make their own... if you scroll down maybe to the next page on this forum theres another question about helmeteds where I threw my 2 cents in with some info

best of luck

Anders
